Gibraltar Cultural Services are producing some printable pictures from the National Gallery collection, aimed at promoting Gibraltar’s art and providing some creative entertainment. Just print and get colouring, enjoy.
This work was painted by Leni Mifsud probably at the time of the evacuation of some Gibraltar residents to Madeira during World War II. Religious Processions like the one portrayed, were common place then.
The colours are bright and the figures, although schematic convey feelings of devotion and inwardness. There is also a sense of community and belonging
Create your own designs using the Religious Procession templates found on our website www.culture.gi on the forms section and send them in via email to info@culture.gi
