Bodies in Flow pop-up workshop hosted by The Movement Collective, integrating movement, drawing, painting, photography, and videography in one space. Performers will be moving in a structured improvisation; artists are invited to come in and out of the space during the performance. A tour of Gibraltar’s National Gallery, with the opportunity to learn about our ‘heritage artists’ with our fun and interactive activity pack.  Friday 25th February | 10am | Tour of The Gibraltar National Museum

Tour of Gibraltar National Museum. An hour tour of the museum with guide Philip Smith. Ideal for ages 9-11 year olds, parents/ guardians  must accompany  their child. Limited spaces available so make sure to book by calling 20074289 or email education@gibmuseum.gi. Make sure to leave the names of those attending and a contact telephone number. Masks must be work by everyone visiting the museum, except those under the age of 13.

 

Saturday 26th February | 10am | Witham’s Cemetery

Heritage Trust tour of Witham’s Cemetery. Witham’s Cemetery has undergone major restoration works and is now a beautiful, landscaped area. The tour includes a short history of the area highlighting some of the characters who are buried there, including the first editor of the Gibraltar Chronicle and learn about other fascinating and curious stories. Organised by Gibraltar Cultural Services showcasing the work of artists aged 24 and under, deadline for entries 18th February. Acting workshop: The Actor and The Text with Louis Emmitt-Stern. Join award winning playwright for a workshop exploring ways in which actors approach a piece of dramatic text for the stage. Louis will be working with different practical exercises to unlock character in from a contemporary play. This year the theme is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, GCS will be welcoming schools throughout the day to take part in activities. Students will be able to take part in a drama activity with Zoe Bishop, an art workshop by Monica Popham and storytelling sessions. Join acclaimed artist and illustrator Eleanor Taylor – Dobbs and sketch in Gibraltar’s historical locations to create wonderful gothic works of art. Explore the gothic world of illustration, drawing influences from Neil Gaiman’s ‘The Graveyard Book’, ‘Chris Priestley’s ‘Tales of Terror’ and Edward Gorey. Ideal for young people aged 12 and over or anyone with nerves of steel! Great for students wanting to develop their creative writing skills as well.
