Oil on Board
A scene depicting the South District of Gibraltar showing the Clock Tower on Rosia Road above the Shipyard and Dockyard area. To the right we see the former married quarters of the Services Personnel who worked in Gibraltar, now the site of Bayview Terraces. The painting shows numerous vehicles popular at the time, including the Volkswagen. The Upper Town area is also visible from a somewhat less common angle. The Clock Tower majestically juts up on the left of the painting, its strong vertical shape filling the otherwise empty space of the sky and adding a visual balance to the composition.
