Trafalgar House

Oil on Board
69x53.5

This artwork depicts a scene of a warm summer’s day off Main Street by the Trafalgar Cemetery. The image offers a snapshot into life in Gibraltar in the 1960’s, from the fashion worn, to the baby strollers used. A relaxed moment captured, showing the social nature of a small community like Gibraltar. Mannia depicts day to day life, people sitting, chatting, socialising, ironically just beside a cemetery where the honoured dead have been laid to rest.
