The Minister for Culture, The Hon Prof. Dr. John Corteshas congratulated all the dancers from the differentdance groups who participated, at Global Dance Open finals held this week in Avila, Spain.
Gibraltar has won many medals and scholarships at this competition, but the biggest accolade was being crowned the ‘Top Country Award’. Gibraltar was represented at this international event by Mediterranean Dance School, Stylos Dance Company, Danza Academy and Show Dance Company.
Commenting on their recent achievements, the Minister said:
‘On behalf of His Majesty’s Government and the people of Gibraltar, I would publically like to congratulate all the dancers, teachers, and choreographers, for achieving these great results. Winning the ‘Top Country Award’ is an outstanding achievement and an amazing successthat has put Gibraltar once again on the map.
Congratulations to everyone who through the many hours of hard work and dedication have beenpraiseworthy participants and have done Gibraltarextremely proud.’
